Native American Study

   I plan to do this study starting in 2003. The story will be told from their endeavors which I hope will give the reader a look into their beliefs. The individual stories will come from the pueblos of northern and central New Mexico where age old customs are practiced using carried down oral histories. This is a precious history of America that lies between the dreamy fantasy of a wildly guilty feeling European descendents have had in destroying most of the Native American culture to the story of how early Americans coped with keeping balances of spirit with the running of their daily lives. It is a story that we all can learn from. In many ways the story of the Amish story parallels early Native American perspectives, with their lives being placed in a bandwith of a 1000 years or more, keeping alive those traditions and customs alive that have worked for them in the past.
